Grant Deppen

Grant Deppen is a Norfolk resident, and started with ODU a little over 10 years ago. Grant's primary role with Recreation & Wellness is overseeing the intramural sports, sport clubs, and esports programs.

Grant was the lead staff member behind the buildout and creation of the Esports program and Monarch Esports Arena at ODU beginning in 2019.

He also serves as the Chair of the A/P Faculty Senate and on other University committees.

Grant holds a bachelor and masters degrees in Sport and Recreation Management from Kent State University in Ohio and is currently completing a PhD program in Public Administration and Policy at ODU.
